This course will provide a thorough understanding of the upstream oil and gas industry for those whose responsibility it is to formulate and implement government, regulatory and management policy, and to manage, supervise and oversee oil and gas projects.

All aspects of the upstream oil and gas industry are covered – technical, commercial and strategic – in a manner suitable for busy policy makers and senior managers from all backgrounds, whether technical or non-technical.

The roles, responsibilities and technologies are described of the many disciplines involved in oil and gas exploration, development and production, including geoscience, engineering, commercial, managerial and regulatory.

The course is presented from a non-technical management perspective, providing the key information needed to manage, regulate, oversee, supervise and work-with oil and gas companies and project teams on all aspects of oil and gas production.

By the end of this training course, participants will be able to:

  • To equip senior policy makers with the appropriate level of knowledge and information to guide and oversee effective oil and gas policy implementation
